We all know and love dear old Jan. (oops ! Let me rephrase that. We all know and love dear Jan. ) But how well do we really know her. The energetic Jan: We can generally find her cleaning, weeding, or reading. She has accumulated a huge store of knowledge, and a vast vocabulary. No one is perfect. She readily admits that mathematically she is useless. ( How come she balances the checkbook so easily ?) Mechanically she is a clutz.( I don't think she can operate our magical TIVO yet ) She eschuse the use of the computer , perhaps out of fear.
( I am kind of afraid of it myself)
I have been begging her to write something for the blog but as of now, she adamatly refuses.
Surely she has something to share with our numerous relatives , friends, and other admirers.
Dare I impose upon you all to write a few words of encouragement ?

Yes, yes, yes!!!

I am about to start keeping a blog so that everyone can keep up with me, should they desire, during my many travels. Why not?

I definitely inherited the mathematical uselessness, but I would love to read some of Granny's ruminations. Pretty please?

I must say I enjoy the ruminations quite a bit (and I was touched by the bit about keeping in touch with siblings, with family...so true)...

So indeed!
Jan!
The more the merrier!

We call upon you to share some little curiosity that grabbed you when last you were reading or weeding or cleaning. That's when life's little blinks of wisdom seem to grab us (well, maybe not so much when reading) ... anyway, do share!

I agree. Its time to tear the wall down and expose the brilliant writer hiding behind it.

Ok, while I would indeed enjoy seeing mom write something here, I just want to be sure encouragement does not turn into coersion!
If the writing bug hits you, don't be timid. If not, or this isn't your cup of tea, then stand your ground!

Rummy,

A couple comments: you began writing your blog in a larger font than at present. As a myopic reader I would greatly appreciate your return to the larger variety. Also I recall that you had an opinion, often a loud and very opinionated opinion with respect to politics, especially American. What with 19 presidential candidates at present, 20 next month and if Gore takes the plunge… I would think you find this irresistible!

And Jan could say a hell of a lot – and it would be well worth reading. A double Single Malt on the rocks should eliminate the inhibitions then just set her down in front of the machine and hang onto you hat!

Con mucho cariƱo,

El Ruco
