Your scribe always writes in longhand ( illegible cursive ) and checks it out hours later for corrections and improvements. Two blogs in the last two weeks did not live up to my standards of excellence. Hence the prolonged silence.
However, I have once again found a subject worthy of a blog. Looking ahead on my kitchen calendar I discovered yet another important date of which I was completely unaware. Please mark on your calendar the 28Th of June. Some one (I cannot imagine who does these things ) has designated that day as TAKE YOUR DOG TO WORK DAY. It's true. I swear it is.
This special day creates several problems for me and perhaps for some others. Where would I take my dog since I retired some years ago ? Also, I don't own a dog. Perhaps I could borrow one but where would I take him/her*? It is indeed a conundrum.
*Isn't that him/her or he/she repulsive? I put it in just to tease my readers.

I am surprised you did not mention Flag day, what with your deep devotion to the American flag and flags in general :-)
Back on topic... really? Really? I could not take meither of our dogs to work. I would not be allowed in, and evenif I was, my dog(s) would hate it, I would have to keep them leashed and take them out frequently. If everyone brought their dogs, I suspect we would suffer much ill behavior, and work productivity would plummet.
No... bad ideas can't be made good ones just by naming a day after the affair.
I am sure that whoever declared the Dog Bite Prevention Month is the same one that declared the Take Your Dog to Work Day. See it fits in nicely -- now everyone at your work-place will know how to prevent your dog from biting them.
We have a real conundrum -- we got a new UPS delivey driver and she is deathly afraid of Bailey. Thus no UPS deliveries (or even notices of deliveries) unless someone responds to her incessant honks.
The only solution I know is to have everything shipped FedEx -- any thoughts?
Thought provoking post as always.
