Born 1923
Lee lived in Mexico until 1966.He lived with our Mother until her death in 1966. He took his modest inheritance and went to Italy where he lived for 9 or ten years until he ran out of money. He returned to St.Louis ad lived there until about 1993, He then moved to Houston where he lived until his death in 2003,
For all his numerous faults and shortcomings, he was a charmer. He made friends easily but was fickle and discarded them quickly.. But he was charming. I enjoyed his company and find that I miss him.
Offsetting good qualities: he was funny, thoughtful and generous.Truly a strange and interesting person.

I miss him as well - nice post again Dad.
He was definitely one of a kind.
He was not always nice, and sometimes he was downright mean, but hell, he was Uncle Lee, and I miss his wit and his humor and the sound of his laughter at a good joke.
I always remember how much Uncle Lee loved me as a child and the gold bracelet he gave me for my First Communion. As the years went by and I did not see him except during my visits to Houston, I felt we did not know each other any more. I was always astounded by how many people he claimed to dislike and his determination to eat the worst possible foods possible (He loved his meat as raw and fatty as possible!). But I know inside he was kind and he loved us all. I think of him from time to time.
